If you don't already know about Wookieepedia's Discord server, you may not have been missing much: historically it was only for editors with over 50 edits to discuss and coordinate their work on the site. Everyone else only had access to the server's public channels—but that has changed for you.
Now, any forum user with at least 200 posts here can be verified on the server for full access to all the editing channels. This goes for quite a lot of you and was a long time coming.
The change came from a recent motion I put forth to allow full access for forum users, and there's a lot of background information that went into this motion that I highly recommend reading about.
Here is Wookieepedia's Discord policy, which contains information on exactly how to join the server and verify yourself for full channel access. Read the whole page here as it will undoubtedly answer most questions you might end up having in advance.
For redundancy, here's a shorthand order of instructions.
Join the server with this link here.
Add your Discord tag to your bio—note that the proper way to do this requires that you do it on a desktop browser, where user bios have dedicated Discord fields. You can also just add it in your bio's text field and send a link to your profile in the channel, but you'll have to wait for an admin to manually verify you then. The bot is easier.
In the verification channel on the server, type !wiki verify <your Fandom username>, and a bot will automatically check your Fandom profile bio for a matching Discord tag, and you'll be cleared if you have at least 50 edits or 200 posts.
Alternatively, you can put your Discord tag elsewhere in your bio and simply send a link to your user page: on the server you can simply type [[User:<your Fandom username>]] and a bot will provide the link. My profile could be linked by typing [[User:Jedi Sarith LeKit]], for example.
That's pretty much it! I know lots of editors are excited about having more users around for help with their research, and in return more of them will definitely come our way and lend the forum their writing skills.
If you've ever wanted to learn to edit or just have another space to discuss Star Wars, this is the place. Ask any questions here or on the server once you join, and we look forward to seeing you on the other side!
