My favorite, character, Anakin Skywalker/ Darth Vader, has a lot of moments that I love, however, the one that I find the most profound is found in Revenge of the Sith on Mustafar when Padmé meets Anakin after he has killed the Separatist leaders. The conversation that follows is eye opening to the viewer as to how far gone Anakin is, since it is here that we discover that Vader doesn’t care about Padmé anymore, at least, she is not his main concern in the slightest. And when Obi-Wan appears out of her ship, Vader is enraged and chokes the person he sacrificed so many and his soul for.
Christensen’s delivery, facial expressions and body movement is just immaculate. We feel his rage and contempt in all of it, even the setting of the explosions of lava and the score by Williams, once more playing Anakin’s Betrayal. It’s just perfect, and I wouldn’t imagine changing one thing about it. If you would like to hear more about this scene from me, you can read about it in the analysis I wrote about Anakin: here. Just skip to page 62.
However, what is the scene that you enjoy your favorite character in the most? I would love to hear about it in the discussion below!
Thanks you, and May the Force Be Forever With You!
