Sadly I'm not surprised. There's a lot of nostalgia bias in favor of Shannon McRandle and real photos over art.

It doesn't matter how inaccurate Shannon McRandle is to the books. Too many just associate her with Mara Jade Skywalker and they'd probably replace her description in the books with Shannon McRandle if they could. To them, you might as well be arguing to take down Hayden Christiansen as Anakin Skywalker and replace it with TCW cgi Anakin.

However, it was a valiant attempt and worthy cause. Sadly none of us here are editors to challenge their votes. Hopefully hearts and minds where swayed and eventually it will lead to change.

@LordRyus I will say though, technically you could be. You just need 50 edits which is not that difficult, and the way you write them essays I wouldn't be surprised if you got there. That is, if you were interested. It looks like Legends has plenty of need when it comes to editors.

I'm almost at 50 myself and that's just from the articles for this whole shin-dig I tossed up on the wiki. I'm going to try and break 50 and see what happens, then hopefully I can vote and actually put up my own images that I'm proposing.

^fair enough. I've always kinda been dissuaded from wanting to be an editor though, since I've always feared doing a ton of work. Then the next guy basically removing everything I did because they have a conflicting source. Lol

Even if I wanted to become an editor, I legit don’t think I could be fully committed to such a role. I got a ton of s**t going on with graduate college and my social life 😂. I swear sometimes I be envious of our favorite characters traveling across the stars and to different planets. What I wouldn’t give to hop in a starfigher or the millennium falcon and just go somewhere (Bespin perhaps 🤔).

^^^To be clear, a mainspace edit count refers to edits to actual articles. Forum pages like the CT don't count. A mainspace page will have its title displayed at the top of the page as "Pagetitle" rather than "Prefix:Pagetitle" (e.g. Mara Jade Skywalker, not Talk:Mara Jade Skywalker). This is to ensure that people influencing policy have experience with how the wiki works. Sorry to disappoint. That being said, it really doesn't take that long to rack up 50 edits if you're active, and it would be great to hear that this thread convinced anyone to take up active editing—clearly everyone here cares deeply about the Star Wars characters they love and their representation on this wiki, and being an active editor really doesn't take up that much time or energy if you only engage with it at a casual level.

You both could just break 50 for moments like this and tap out from any edit grinding. At least then you could have somewhat of a voice. Which would be great for me rn XD

Speaking of, Ryus or Swat would you guys want the Wookiepedia Discord link? I mean then at least you could chime in there, or easedrop at your convenience. That's where I've also been trying to convince people and I think it could possibly be of use.
