Ahh. This hypothetical question is rhetorical in that it suggests the game narrative was ever canon, or the official narrative, when, it clearly wasn't. So, my answer is still no. The Grand Inquisitor is a canonical character, while Galen is not. Nonetheless I do understand it's meaning and it's implication, and my answer would still be no. I like that the Grand Inquisitor's backstory is being a former Jedi Temple Guard. This gives him an antagonizing resentment for Darth Vader, no doubt, knowing who he is.
^No… you still don’t understand. The question is wether or not he’d make a good Grand Inquisitor as in if Galen given his abilities would be able to competently fulfill the position. The question is not wether or not you want him to be the Grand Inquisitor or if you think him being the Grand Inquisitor is a good storyline.
Like I said before it’s kinda like if OP asked the question “Hypothetically would Luke Skywalker make a Good Imperial Fighter Pilot?” It’s not asking if you think Luke should’ve been an Imperial Fighter Pilot but rather do you think he would have objectively been good at being an Imperial Fighter Pilot.
Additionally you seem to erroneously believe that the unnamed Pau'an character that is currently holding the position of Grand Inquisitor is somehow inseparable from the rank/position when in reality that is simply not the case.
^^Wait what? The Force Unleashed was 100% canon back in the day, more so then most Legends products by far since it had direct involvement from George Lucas and was his attempt at helping to create a story that bridged the gap between ep 3 and 4. It was canon, it had his seal of approval and everything.
That’s why part of me was actually kind of surprised that it didn’t survive the Disney purge, since I believe the stated intention was to only keep things that George was involved with, and he most certainly was involved with this one. Probably because it wasn’t mainstream enough.
For those of you who are saying that Starkiller can't be an Inquisitor because he is Darth Vader's apprentice, thats technically false because with the way Sidious is, he would force Vader to either kill Starkiller or recruit him as an Inquisitor because of the Rule of Two, therefore only two Sith at a time. Also this question was meant to be just a What If scenario, so it doesn't matter if it's Canon or Legends.
^^If he can’t understand something as simple as this question, even after I have explained what it’s asking twice, I don’t think he could understand something a little more nuanced like the Canon Hierarchy System employed during the Pre Disney Continuity.
Tbh I thought the inquisitors were more of a suicide squad and the members of the Inquisitorious were just grunts for Vader
I think that would have been an interesting direction to go with the character
His evil clone would have. Not the other clone he was more or less the same person as the original
Grand inquisitor hunts Jedi so does starkiller. So I think so.
What a lot of people don't seem to understand here is that The Grand Inquisitor, and the entirety of the Inquisitors are meant to be severely weaker then Vader and Palpatine, but strong enough to hunt Jedi.
Starkiller could best Vader and Palpatine in a fight, making him the perfect opposition against them, something that they DON'T want, and the worst candidate.
What do you think?
