Hi, Wookiepedia community!
This is my first post ever, so please go easy on me ;)
TL;DR: I have a theory about Jedi: Survivor that I would like to get opinions on. So please read on even though it’s a wall of text.
I’ve been watching the teaser trailer for Jedi: Survivor, and since then, was trying to figure out who the guy in that bacta tank could be. After googling around a little I found out that most of the people suggest that it could be Starkiller, which I think is rather unlikely, given that Starkiller isn’t canon. Sooo, I started to do some research myself, even though I wasn’t really sure where to start. At first I thought it could be Taron Malikos from Fallen Order, but he hasn’t got that lightning scars, which are seen on the body of the bacta tank guy. So I was back at the beginning, until I watched Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney +. In one episode Obi-Wan was hiding in a safehouse of the “Path”, where he found out that Quinlan Vos, an old friend of his and a character, which appeared in Clone Wars several times, had survived the Purge and had been helped to escape by the members of the Path, which I considered no coincidence. Additionally, I read “Dark Disciple” recently, a Star Wars novel telling the story of Assaj Ventress and Quinlan Vos, so I had some background knowledge about those characters. Now, my theory is, that Quinlan Vos could very likely be the bacta tank guy. I mean, yes, he has dreadlocks and a yellow tattoo beneath his eyes, which the bacta tank guy hasn’t, BUT he has the lightning scars. In Dark Disciple he is captured and afterwards tortured by Count Dooku and it’s directly mentioned that Dooku was using his force lightnings on Quinlan until he was “lying on the floor, writhing in pain”. His dreadlocks would have probably untangled in the healing liquid (depending on how much time he had spent inside the bacta tank until then). The only problem with the bacta tank guy’s appearance would be the fact that he is missing the yellow tattoo, Vos is known for. However, it would be half covered by the respirator needed in a bacta tank and it is also very likely that it couldn’t be seen perfectly, given the lighting conditions. Also, Quinlan Vos would be the perfect age. Dark Disciple is set 6 months before the events of Revenge of the Sith, so in about 18 BBY or 19 BBY, and back then Quinlan was 38 years old. Which means five years later in 14 BBY, so the time of Fallen Order, he’d be 43, and then in 9 BBY, the time Obi-Wan Kenobi and Jedi: Survivor are set in, he is 48 years old. Now bacta tank guy looks a lot younger than 48. That’s true but actually Quinlan Vos would look a lot younger than 48. Usual kiffar (Quinlan’s races) can only age up to 79 years, BUT Wookiepedia says those keenly attuned to the force could age up to 200 years, which means that Quinlan would look like he is in his mid-twenties.
Due to all of that I really think (And hope ;) ) that the bacta tank guy is Quinlan Vos. Especially because he was directly mentioned in Obi-Wan, which, for me, literally screams “Hey, look up this character again, so you all know who he is, when he is going to feature in a video game (very likely dealing with survivors) soon!”.
So, what do you think? Does it make any sense?
