This is was an issue I kinda had with the revelation in recent media that force-sensitives as a whole were being targeted. Considering the Force is a galaxy wide phenomena, the Empire actively hunting people who show even slight signs of being able to tap into it seems like a fruitless pursuit. I can understand wanting to take particularly strong force sensitives and bring them on as Inquisitors or Dark Jedi or whatever, but otherwise….eh. Seems pointless.
