Really like that analysis but one more question now that the separatist in this scenario have an army of organic life forms instead of droids how do you think that will affect The timeline of the clone wars and the characters
I feel the timeline of the war could be extended changing from 4 years of nonstop action, to drawn out battles of on again off again fighting lasting much longer. Now that both sides have limited soldiers, the republic’s issue is ending the war without going bankrupt from clone cost or running out of genes thus not enough clones to fight with in general. the confederacy’s goal would be to end the war before they also run out of fighters but to attempt to get rid of the republics men first. This mentality would probably cause less battles in the war overall but each battle would instead become a siege in which causalities are high on both sides, and battle could last months or at worse years if a stalemate occurs. I think the characters are affected more especially the senate now that the galaxy is losing many lives with no end. The Jedi now have a moral issue since each kill they do is against a living being and this could cause more Jedi to leave the order at worse causing a Jedi divide or the orders exit from the republic as a whole. Which would actually be good for the Jedi lol. Palpatine would be mostly okay but the empire would have a much easier time taking over the galaxy since both sides will have lost the will to fight and would gladly accept order and stability. I kinda compare this scenario to ww1. Where the war started with fast pace action but became a sluggish grind to see which side loses the will or men to fight first.
Well you have to be one of the most brilliant users I’ve ever met on this app I really love all you worded your replies they’re all so brilliant
Thank you 😊, that was one of the most encouraging compliments I’ve received. Thank you for making a post that was such addicting fun to think about and stirred my imagination. Before you posted this I’d never thought about how a fully organic army would have affected the galaxy. Now I can’t stop thinking lol.
Well if you want we could keep on talking but if you don’t that’s OK but if you do then let me ask you this How do you think some of the most important battles during the clone wars would’ve turned out if the separatist had this Army we talked about and I know I already ask you this but how do you think the most important characters in the clone wars would’ve been affected by this like Anakin, ahsoka, obi wan, padme etc.
They should've recruited more gonk droids. Had they done that wouldn't even of been no war.
I’m guessing since there are limited troops for the separatists, they would be more on defensive so a lot of their battles where they were the invading force probably wouldn’t have happened. Unless it was a strategic battle like kamino where the goal was to cripple the republic by removing jango’s dna sample. I believe this battle would still happen but later in the war and with a much larger invasion force since the confederacy can not afford to lose this one. Other than that most separatist defense battles like mygeeto, geonosis, umbara, felucia still happen but are most likely sieges now, with sporadic fighting. Anytime the seps invade they probably fully commit to ensure victory any defense is done with even more. Characters wise Ahsoka will most likely still leave the order but not from bariss but moral confliction, as she was shown to care for others more than the republic in particular. Anakin’s character is more unstable as he now has his past trauma plus a war where neither side can be justified as good. He will be closer to his Vader personality during the war ready to end it at all costs. Even if it takes embracing the dark side to do it. I can easily see Anakin being dark side and assisting the empire’s take over much earlier than the original timeline. So we would have a non burned full potential Vader. Padme as the rest of the senate will be attempting everything they can to issue a compromise both sides can accept. If not she could become one of the empire’s first supporters in the chance she doesn’t pass away. For obiwan I feel as if he will become much like Quigon and dooku pre Sith where he loses faith in the republic and is in full support of a Jedi order’s exit from the republic. This exit would be the only way to prevent the orders destruction and Anakin’s fall but would have to happen before Anakin’s breaking point to do so. Sorry for this paragraph it’s last one I swear lol.
I would imagine organic volunteers would be much more expensive than droids. You don’t have to pay, clothe, bathe, or feed droids. They may need maintenance but if you don’t have the logistics it’s much easier to abandon them, providing much greater tactical flexibility. Droids don’t have families so there are no insurance payouts or pensions for families of fallen soldiers. An organic volunteer army is both more reliable and more expensive. At least I would think.
Much of the CIS leadership are non human, so it kinda makes sense they did not rely on humans for much of their armies.
From a visual storytelling perspective, the droids versus the clones made for a good visual. It adapts well to the big screen, animation, comics, all forms of visual media, really.
If it was just humans versus clones on the other hand, the contrast might not have been as compelling.
^I can see where you are coming from, but I’ve personally always felt that Star Wars combat is most intense when it’s human vs. human or at least organic vs. organic. It feels more relatable and real. The combat scenes in Rogue One have a much realer feel to me than anything in the Clone Wars era.
What do you think?
