I hope they move on to new ship designs. As much as I love all the Original Trilogy imagery, I was one of the people who was kinda bummed to see no new vehicles back when TFA trailer came out back in the day. I would have hoped with the establishment of a new government and 30 years of time, new ships would have been developed or placed into circulation, and if not new than at least more varied versions of older ships instead of ones that basically look the same.

I’d like Star Wars to bring in bigger bombers, like BIG bombers. I don’t have a preferred size, but enough to have the capacity to destroy a large city (in that case I would suggest it be on the imperial side, btw, I do not condone the destruction of cities)

Or even enough to destroy/disable a star destroyer in one pass

I mean a Y-Wing could do that.

Are we still talking about the E-wing? I think after it’s teething problems it exceeded the X-wing in performance. It just never gained the fame or reputation that the X-wing did.

The number of E-wings built throughout the war was more than likely less than the X-wing. So I’ll assume that the X-wing became iconic for the rebellion because it was mass produced and seen on the battlefield more often than the E-wing
