Well, I'm not sure how many lightsaber training duels Rey as done, or Ben either for that matter. So the "poor choreography" really just translates in-universe to "low skilled".

Nothing. The duels were one of the few things in the sequels that were perfect. Maybe with the exception of Rey and Ben's duel on Kef Bir not having score underneath it. That was a travesty. But it was still an awesome fight. The sequels combine the raw aggression of the originals and the agility of the prequels in a really cool way.

Unnecessary spinning is PEAK Star Wars imo 😌

Even if they're bad at using the weapons, which makes sense considering nobody received any legitimate training, the technology shouldn't change.

Kylo should have killed Finn in TFA. The guy lost his spine. Lightsabers don't rip clothing.

Rey should have taken at least half of Kylo's face off in TFA. Lightsabers don't give tiny scars.

In TROS, Rey should have severely damaged Kylo during their duel. You don't just stab someone with a lightsaber and leave a tiny hole, unless you mean to. If it was the result of accident, he would have died.

I feel like these options aren’t really a problem until The Rise of Skywalker. The fights for the most part are pretty good.
