Which is the most iconic line in every star wars movie.
Which is the most iconic line in every star wars movie.
"I've got a bad feeling about this!".
Not much to add to what’s already been said, but I’ll offer this up for discussion: ANH - “who’s the bigger fool? The fool, or the fool who follows him?” It can be argued that the Jedi Order fell because fools were following bigger fools. Just a thought experiment.
TPM: "Always two there are. No more, no less. A master and an apprentice." - I wonder who the master could be *Ahem* Chancellor Palpatine *Ahem*
AOTC: "Begun the clone war has." - This is the quote that starts the worst war the galaxy has ever seen.
ROTS: "Execute Order 66." - This just is the one sentence that encapsulates the entire demise of the jedi. They would never get back from it.
S: "Assume everyone will betray you and you will never be disappointed." - This is a huge foreshadowing of Beckett's betrayal. If nobody notices this, then I'm disappointed.
RO: "Rebellions are built on hope." - This just shows how the rebellion started and how it will continue to thrive: hope.
ANH: "Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi. You're my only hope." - This is a big line that starts Luke's journey which would become an entire cinematic universe.
ESB: "I am your father." - This really doesn't need to be explained.
ROTJ: "I'll never join the dark side." - This just starts the final battle: good vs. evil, once and for all.
TFA: "Chewie, we're home." - THE LEGACY CHARACTERS RETURN!
TLJ: "Every word you just said was wrong." - Luke shows Kylo Ren his failures. As a great jedi once said, "The greatest teacher, failure is."
TROS: "I'm all the jedi." - Star Wars turns full circle and completes the actual battle of light vs. dark, once and for all one last time.
The Phantom Menace: "I will make it legal." - It's a great statement of Palpatine's intentions over the next 5 movies. And Ian McDiarmid's delivery (as always) is incredible.
Attack of the Clones: "Truly wonderful the mind of a child is." - This scene (and Yoda's statement in particular) points out an important truth that most adults don't like to admit. As we grow older, we gain knowledge, but it doesn't always make us smarter. No matter how discerning we might think we are, there are always some things we come to believe as we age that are just not grounded in reality. Sometimes children can see through these misconceptions without any effort at all.
Revenge of the Sith: "You were my brother, Anakin! I loved you!" - The raw pain in Obi-Wan's voice perfectly captures the tragedy of this story.
Solo: “Assume everyone will betray you, and you will never be disappointed.” - This line illuminates a tension that Han will have for the rest of his life. He wants to trust people. He cares about people. But trust and love don't mix well with the world he's chosen to live in. It's the ultimate irony that he is killed by the one person you'd think could be an exception to Beckett's words.
Rogue One: "I am one with the Force. The Force is with me." - The Guardians of the Whills are so cool. The Jedi hope for the Force to be with each other. Chirrut knows it is with him. That difference is really interesting.
A New Hope: "Who's the more foolish? The fool or the fool who follows him?" - Obi-Wan says this tongue-in-cheek, but it's really a very wise observation.
The Empire Strikes Back - "No, I am your father." - It's a classic, what more can I say?
Return of the Jedi - "Tell your sister: you were right." - Vader's redemption is complete.
The Force Awakens - "That's not how the Force works." - Once upon a time, Han didn't believe in the Force. Now he's lecturing about it. Great stuff.
The Last Jedi - "The legacy of the Jedi is failure. Hypocrisy. Hubris." - Truer words were never spoken.
The Rise of Skywalker - "The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural." - I think it says a lot that this movie's best line is actually from another movie.
"You can't stop change any more than you can stop the suns from setting".
"Begun, the Clone War has".
"Execute Order 66".
"The Force will be with you, always".
"No, I am your father".
"I am a Jedi, like my father before me".
"I know what I have to do but I don't know if I have the strength to do it".
"No one's ever really gone".
"Some things are stronger than blood".
"I have a bad feeling about this"
^ Happy beeps only.
@EddieK89 Woah, I actually really like that thought!
It will make a fine addition to my possible essay on why the Republic was so corrupt at the time of the Clone Wars.
And no, I know you guys all really wanted me to write it but I'm not sure if I'm doing it yet, I want to slowly amass more information first.
Well I mean, the most iconic line that's in EVERY movie would probably be "I've got a bad feeling about this!"
ESB: “… he is as clumsy as he is stupid.” I just think this is hilarious
What do you think?
