📺 [Opinion] Star Wars doesn't talk about what happened to the CIS after the Clone Wars enough.

After the Clone Wars, which as you know is heavily one sided through the eyes of Lucasfilm, the attention immediately turns to the Empire.

The Bad Batch partially gives you an idea of what happens to Separatist wars after the CW, but besides that, there isn't that much I can find easily.

From what I already know, I'm understanding that the fate of the CIS included most people being enslaved into the Empire, with remaining droid forces being melted, repurposed or forgotten.

Does anyone know of any good material that discusses this in depth? I read a few articles on it, but they aren't too specific.

If not, I feel like that is one huge aspect Disney needs to work on, instead of changing the backstory of well known characters.

The CIS was disbanded in ROTS, as Anakin killed all the leaders.

The droids, as you said, were melted for materials.

Most of the biological supporters of the CIS continued fighting first as the Separatist holdouts and then eventually being absorbed into the Rebel Alliance. I think pretty much only the Umbarans “switched sides” but that’s normal for them being for the Republic at the beginning of the War then Separatist in the late war before ultimately becoming Imperials.

^I was gonna say, the CIS were essentially the Rebel Alliance before it was cool. So the logic would follow that those that didn’t give up just eventually joined the Rebel cause.
