Live action
Canon and Legends comics
Video games
Legos
Animated
Comsidering the only real animatedly interpretation of Vader that we have is Rebels and he was extremely nerfed in Rebels, animated is easily my least favorite. Kanan and Ezra should’ve been dead in 15 seconds tops. His live action and comic interpretation have been spot on flawless.
My favorite version of darth Vader is in live action
Played by David prowse spencer wilding and Hayden Christensen voiced by James earl Jones
Darth Vader in revenge of the sith
Darth Vader in Obi wan kenobi
Darth Vader in rogue one
Darth Vader in a new hope
Darth Vader in the empire strikes back
Darth Vader in return of the Jedi
Darth Vader’s voice in the rise of skywalker
Comic
Originals/Prequel ending
Comics
Lego (really funny)
Games (Have only watched JFO but it was awesome)
Animated (I won't get into what was wrong with Rebels Vader, he had some good moments but to start Kanan and Ezra should've been totally dead by the end of Siege of Lothal)
As iconic as LA is, I have to go with comics. He's such a deep, tortured, intersting character and they really made me appreciate his inner struggles and the pain he was always living with.
Live action is the best version of Vader
Then I would say video games and Lego
Live action
Comics (even though I haven’t read that many)
Video Games
Lego
Animation
The live action version is just iconic. In comics we really see his character and power. In the video games he is powerful too, but then you have starkiller that ruins it for me (At least he's just Legends). Also, he hasn't appeared that much in animation and still all of his appearances have been so cool. But the lego version has so much character and he's so hilarious.
Conclusion: Every Vader is awesome.
Vader in the comics is like Vader in all the other media, but it takes what’s lovable about Vader and then extends those features a subliminal amount and the result is better than you would expect.
Any comic book Vader is like JFO Vader and Kenobi Vader merged into one ultimate, overpowered, through the roof Darth Vader.
He does things such as:
Awakening an ancient, crazed Sith Lord to build him a house
Ordering a giant space lobster to eat an imperial officer that was being a prick
Successfully fighting and killing more than half the Rebel Alliances army General Grievous 2.0 who is also admiral Ackbar and two dark Jedi back-to-back
And destroying the Hutt Cartel from the inside out to assert his dominance.
His dialogue is perfectly written and he is the same as Darth Vader in the films is, if Darth Vader in the films fought as much and as well as John williams conducts music.
^Well said my friend, these Vader comics are my favorites. It's also nice to see Vader as the focus character, rather than the antagonis.
What do you think?
