They could be mammal like reptiles or something similar, i mean both dinosaurs and pterosaurs had feathers/fuzz and they arent closely related to mammals so it could be any of those.

I kind of like my idea better.

Applying our taxonomical laws to the Galaxy Far, Far Away, and assuming they're mammals (based on fur, horn development, gait, morphology especially of the foot), yeah, that would certainly be the implication. They could possibly be reptomammals, but I don't see much reason to assume that. Ockham's razor and all.

I do believe it would be incorrect to assign a term that suggests Earth creature lineages and evolution to a non-earth creature in any scientific, canon, or otherwise non-comparison situation. But yes I agree that the mud horn is comparable to earth monotremes.

@Tankstar2000 Yeah, but I'm not going to make up an entirely new biological classification for something just because it's not from Earth. Besides, Earth doesn't even exist in Star Wars (that we know of) and yet humans do. Riddle me that!
