Do you consider the Fel Dynasty a legitimate royal bloodline?
Now I know that nobility in general is pretty wonky when it comes to Star Wars for a variety of reasons foremost being that it’s generally inconsequential to the plot. However, I’d still like some clarification on certain aspects of Galactic nobility because when it comes to the Legitimacy of the Fel Empire I feel that a “definitive” royal lineage may be of most importance even if it is merely Fel propaganda.
Of course what constitutes nobility may differ from system to system and, logically, there wouldn’t be universal standard to denote the noble class. What I’d like clarification on, however, is-
What are the prerequisites to be elected Monarch such as the case in Naboo? For instance would you have to be apart of an aristocratic family or simply a figure of impressive standing?
Is the title “Baron of the Empire” a grant of nobility, akin to how in Imperial Germany soldiers of immense military prowess were able to become nobles and add “von” to their name?
If one and two are true, that for one to be elected Monarch it is necessary for one to be an aristocrat and that there is precedent within Star Wars that non noble soldiers can be granted nobility for excellency in combat, can one then argue that Han Solo fits characteristics of nobility?
I’d say that this is important because the legitimacy of the Fel Dynasty rests on it, particularly because it’s bloodline is comprised of Fel, Solo, and Amidala blood. The Royal Fel Dynasty was established with the marriage of Jaina Solo and Jagged Fel. If “Baron of the Empire” is in fact a grant of nobility then Jagged would have inherited the title from his father. Jaina, as far as I am aware, would have inherited the claims of both the Amidalas and the Organas from her mother and would herself be further legitimized if her father was granted a title of nobility which, from the way I see things, he could have easily have done both by marrying into nobility and by earning the title through his valor in combat.
