Legends gives you 25,150 years of Star Wars adventures, the main cast of the OG trilogy is IMO handled better as well

Canon gives you what 1,000 years (high republic is what 500 years before the prequels) until the sequels, Luke is a coward hidden away, Han was stupid in walking up to his son a known murderer, and Leia is Merry Poppins in the last jedi

That said I love Solo and Rogue one, and all the Disney + shows, it's really only the sequels I dislike

Legends was much more entertaining imho.

Surprisingly, based on the comments, more people have voted canon than legends in the poll.

It really seems like this type of poll changes based on what going on in Star Wars at that point in time , for example since Kenobi has come out recently it seems more votes have gone to Canon, but if we look back during a time when there was less coming out in the Star Wars canon field more votes went towards Legends. The results can also vary upon the day it is posted as it seems more Legends loving users are on, on different times.

^Yeah I noted that too. The last time this poll was made it was almost 50-50 with legends having a slight edge. Either way it’s not a big deal. My head canon is definitely going to include Kenobi lol. Anyways there’s definitely good stuff to be found in canon and I do believe it still deserves a great amount of love despite certain aspects of it not being all that great for me.

It could also be that less people have probably read anything from Legends, especially since it's mostly books and comics. The Legends fans are probably more active on the site

@Captain Byib this chart gives a pretty good idea. when it comes down to the expanded material. Since the movies, live action shows, and the animated shows are going to reach the largest audience with interactive media getting a sizable portion of that audience. (ie casual fans)

while the literature comic books and reference books are only going to be read by the fans that are going to go out of their way to read it.

personally I only got into two parts of the old Legends continuity, the Knights of the Old Republic comic series and the Star Wars legacy comic series.

I prefer legends myself but I don’t begrudge those who prefer canon. Canon does take elements from legends and tweaks it which is fine imo.

Legends definitely. Not just for the way it expanded the lore but for its creation of iconic characters I could actually invest in. Something that is not in my view present to the same extent current canon. But then Legends had more time to mature and develop.

Canon simply because I know it better.

Also I thought this poll would be much much closer.
