I also enjoyed watching Han’s struggles in legends revolving around being separated from his wife and kids due to being on the frontlines. Poor guy wanted to leave his general days behind the war just wouldn’t allow it. I also enjoyed his conflict with his son Anakin. Even though he didn’t really Anakin blame for Chewie’s death, he just couldn’t get the words out but when they finally reconciled it was beautiful. The fact that Han and Leia’s relationship survived the tragic deaths of not 1 but 2 of their children definitely speaks volumes about how strong their relationship is.
Canon version is good but they kinda undid all of his character development by The Force Awakens, I don't know much about Legends version but I do prefer that he and Leia stayed together even after their son turned to the Dark Side.
I am going with cannon Han
The reason why is because he was an amazing character from the Original Trilogy. Harrison Ford did an amazing job with the role. He made Han very charming and a great leading man. He had good chemistry with Chewie, Leia, Luke, Lando, Finn, Rey and others. I always laugh at the jokes that he said in both the original and Episode VII that always made me laugh. Plus Han in Episode V was probably the best one. Overall I have to say Han cannon is still an enjoyable version of the character
Also another reason is I haven't read any Legends media
I was gonna vote, but then I saw the vote count
I like Han either way tbh he’s a great character
Legends Han. At least he stayed with Leia EVEN AFTER his son turned bad and he lost a kid to Vong!
I think Han would have made it work with Leia, like he did in Legends.
The entire OT is about the possibility of redemption and positive change, yet in Canon, both Han and Luke completely abandon their positive changes to abandon their duties (family and the Jedi order respectively).
Also, Han from Legends is truly tested (multiple impactful deaths, some caused by family members) and goes through a lot more than just losing his son to the dark side, then falling down a shaft.
Disney Han regressed as a character.
@Dls4x93 Agreed.
