Jango and bobas armor wasn’t pure beskar it was a combination of beskar and durasteel

^^It says it was made of Beskar, not pure Beskar. Keep in mind it’s still made of Beskar if it is an alloy that contains the metal.

I think it was because Cad Bane's blasters were just that powerful.

I guess the armor for the most part varies in its ways. Perhaps different materials were used in construction or the fact that perhaps the dent created in the helmet is due to a higher power blaster shot, which I wouldn't be surprised If cad bane used more powerful weaponry.

I do want to admit, that I still have to catch up with the series as I've only finished season 1. But I know bits and pieces of what I'm missing out on... Hopefully, I can get time between my 42.5+ hour internship this summer... I only get one day off a week.....:)

Otherwise, maybe Mandalorian armor has a structure. The most durable rare material (the one mando used in season 1) is used as a framework, and perhaps it is covered with a steel (or steel-like) metal. Similar to how WW2 and modern armored vehicles use spaced armor (this would cause enemy rounds to penetrate the first plate, but won’t go through the next plate, or use reactive armor (as it would lose a lot of momentum). Idk how ballistic physics runs for blaster firearms, and if anyone has a link to a wiki about that, I would be very interested in reading it. I would assume that blaster rounds have different physical effects than ballistic firearms IRL

I think because the helmet was rebuilt with mixing Beskar and Durasteel. Remember that the helmet was destroyed in an explosion.
