This amazing writer, behind classics like Little Miss Sunshine and Toy Story 3, was initially hired to write the screenplay for The Force Awakens. Some of his input was kept, but he was ultimately dismissed before the movie was complete.

I always feel, had he stayed on for the whole ST, it may have turned out a whole lot better. A LOT.

Lucasfilm should re-hire him. They have no idea how much depth they missed out on by firing him.
