Granted they (the producers) had to do this because she was not in ROTS and if she came back as a full Knight, then Anakin should have became a Master in ROTS (training a student + killing Dooku a Sith Lord)
But they did not need to make Mace a dick
@Chasemarc That's a fair point about Mace making such an insensitive comment after Ahsoka's trial. I don't think he meant to hurt her but it's definitely something that makes you go: "Yikes".
Though regarding his behavior toward Ahsoka in Season 7, I remember that it's actually her who refers to herself as "citizen" as the first person, like she's emphasizing that she isn't part of the Order anymore, like she's trying to get some distance between her and the Jedi Order. So, unless I misremember that part, Mace only notices the reservation on her part (which is in itself still understandable) and acts on it corresponding to it
Honestly, people who think of Windu as a asshole don't even pay attention half of the time he talks, even in his mf'ing wiki article it's stated that despite him being headstrong, he's still a caring individual.
Windu + The council doesn't trust Anakin to become a master not because they were envious that he killed a sith, and not because they outright denied him training a padawan, but because he can't be trusted in general. If the Order had picked him up when he was younger, or if Qui-Gon never died in the first place Anakin would've never grown up to act like how he acts currently. He's shown countless times that despite being a knight he still hasn't matured completely and hasn't learned to control his emotions, something that is pivotal for a Master of the Order to control.
It's literally like College Football or any other sports, they don't want people who make dumb decisions to go pro, they don't want people to become their starters who does something drastic and go to jail or worse, then they lose out on money. Even in professional sports they don't want childish individuals because when they spent a fortune on drafting a player, when that player does something wrong they don't get their money back, ever. Comparing this to the council it's honestly Skywalker's fault he didn't get to become a Master.
Don't get me wrong I love Anakin on god, but if you think Windu is bad because he denied an uncontrollable force of nature with inhumane amounts of force power, and on top of that he didn't learn to control his emotions, that's dangerous to let become a Master.
Heck NO. Not too big on the Jedi in general, generally hypocritical and oftentimes blinded with their own egos. The Council members are some of the worst.
Yes I think that would be a neat position for me and I think I might do well
No because I was never given the rank of Master.
Yeah, better pay and retirement benefits... wait, the Jedi do pay right?.... right?
^Good question.
They need some way of buying death sticks so probably.
^^^ Exactly the questions we should be asking. Holiday entitlement, company speeder, limb insurance.
What do you think?
