Just rewatched their TCW arc. Trace may be a little annoying and gullible, but Rafa is far more annoying and acts stupidly with no thought for the consequences of her actions.

I prefer Rafa and I lost all respect trace when she dumped the spice cargo and screwed everyone.

But neither are great characters.

I think they’re both overhated, I saw no problem with them while watching TCW and to me they were okay characters whom I don’t mind seeing. But something I like about them is how realistic they are. They aren’t super perfect characters who always make the right decisions, they have flaws and they make mistakes, but they’re realistic mistakes that someone might make when they’re in a dangerous or stressful situation. They’re like regular people in real life when they get thrust into a dangerous situation, they aren’t all confident and prepared like the Jedi (who’ve been trained their whole lives on how to fight and survive dangerous situations), they’re naturally inexperienced and they make mistakes. Also I don’t think it’s wise to hate characters based on their hairstyle.

Fr, I think people are so used to seeing picture perfect characters they forget how people would function in a real life scenario.

^In real life if you owe a crime boss some money, most people wouldn’t dump what they owe said crime boss out to sea (for lack of a better analogy).

I liked Trace Martez

But I also liked Rafa Martez as well

Both are pretty bad. Worst arc other than maybe the droid episodes. Felt like filler and could’ve been shortened.

@Swatteam123 Trace was under stress with Rafa and Ahsoka arguing about it, and though it wasn’t the smartest decision, her heart was in the right place since she didn’t want the Pykes to get the spice. And like I said, Trace wasn’t trained like Ahsoka to be competent in dangerous situations. If I were Trace and I were in a dangerous situation that I’d never been in before, with difficult choices to make and both my friends arguing about it, plus with my ship that I’d just built piece by piece on the line, I might do something impulsive too.

They both suck 🤮🤮

Rafa was bearable and Trace was just an idiot.
