Happy anniversary to one of the best Star Wars films of all time, this movie started so much it inspired so many things across all of media. This movie is a defintion of a masterpiece. I love this poster done by Noriyoshi Ohrai who also did the Godzilla posters during the Heisei era, this poster is absolutly amazing and has so many colors that perfectly portray this movie. 😁

Happy anniversary to my favorite OT movie!! Such a beautiful written, timeless and shocking sequel! Our original trio continues to receive phenomenal development, we get awesome new characters in the form of Yoda and Lando, the empire takes a bite out of the rebellion on Hoth, the introduction of one of my favorite planets (Bespin), and that game changing reveal of Luke’s parentage!

^ Bespin is so amazing its just so beautiful the idea of being so high in the clouds, the abilty to smell the perfectly fresh air and see nothing but the sunset and sunrise. Then there's Lando he managed to become one of my most loved characters from his novel trilogy and this movie (along with ROTJ) He's so amazing. I couldn't be happier and more thankful to see both of these amazing things introduced in such an amazing movie.

This was my favorite Star Wars movie when I was little. I love Hoth, meeting Yoda, and the Cloud City fight between Vader and Luke. Nowadays I really like Revenge of the Sith and Attack of the Clones, but The Empire Strikes Back just holds a special place in my heart.

Empire has always been my favourite Star Wars movie, as a cinematic masterpiece it succeeded in being just as good, or arguably better, than the first movie. Something not many franchises have ever achieved. Starting with a dramatic and exciting battle, and ending with a thrilling lightsaber duel in which the most famous movie plot twist was revealed, the movie was excellent from start to finish. It introduced the fan base to the likes of Yoda, various bounty hunters and Lando, and also grew Darth Vader’s power and dominance significantly from the viewers point of view, setting up the events of RoTJ perfectly. The movie has been voted as the best movie of all time in several polls and surveys, I personally believe it is the best movie of all time as well.

The movie grossed $400 million worldwide in its initial release, which made it at the time the 3rd highest-grossing movie in the world (behind the original Star Wars movie and Jaws). It's now the 203rd highest-grossing movie in the world (it would be the 321st if Return of the Jedi, The Exorcist, Beauty and the Beast, Gone with the Wind and it had never been re-released)
