For its next month issue, Vanity Fair, a magazine specialized in the industry of Hollywood and entertainment in general, highlighted Star Wars as its main featured topic, with an outstanding front cover.
In it, there are several interviews with the main stars of the upcoming future series, like Ewan McGregor and Rosario Dawson, also with Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau, as well as the president of Lucasfilm herself, Kathleen Kennedy. They make a short summary about how the whole process of bringing SW into television started, the state of the already upcoming shows and even future ones, as well as the overall idea on how Star Wars future is going.
They also released a “sneak peak” on their YouTube channel on how the reportage was made, all of it photographed by the amazing Annie Leibovitz. The photos and images are indeed gorgeous!
Honestly for me, this was “a surprise to be sure but a welcome one”. As we are getting closer to the Celebration, it’s normal that things like this are released, although I supposed it would be after May 25th, but never mind. Many of what was said I already knew, other things got me excited and hyped for what is to come; there were also some surprising news that bewildered me, yet at same time other things matched with my speculations and previous expectations, keeping me relieved and intrigued all at once.
And of course, what are your thoughts on this? I gently ask beforehand, to not comment before having read the article. Please, read it in its integrity, and then share your impressions. It’s a bit long, but it’s worthy. It was to me at least. And I’m sure that for any SW fan it might be, at minimum, interesting.
MTFBWY!
