Power scaling in Star Wars is useless when everyone has different opinions on which character is more powerful and skilled. It leads to nothing but pointless arguing and destroys the point of discussing said power scaling in the first place.

Firstly, powerscaling is pointless since Star Wars characters are always as powerful or weak as the plot demands them to be. There's no point in debating whether Darth Vader would be more powerful than for example A'Sharad Hett, since whatever conflict that they would in theory be apart of would be decided by whoever is responsible for said plot. It's all up to the Star Wars creators.

Secondly, like Swatteam123 stated, powerscaling on a forum is often tied to the personal biases that forum users have, and so it is very easy for any debate regarding the power or strength of characters to devolve into bickering, and in worst cases, off-topic arguing and name-calling.

And fyi, we saw that very thing happen a number of times before we came to the conclusion of banning the activity altogether, so it is not an arbitrary decision by the mod team.
