I'd go with Clone Wars era, specifically post-Order 66. But an alt timeline could be really interesting too- something like What If? maybe...

Post Rise of Skywalker

For me my custom character Darth Malice starts in the Rise of the Empire era around 17 or so bby and leads all the way down to the NJO timline , but when I create other characters they are in different timlines like parts of the Old Republic and Legacy Era so my list of Eras goes by how my main custon goes then how my next custom would go.

1. Rise of the Empire

2. New Republic

3. New Jedi Order

4. Old Republic

5. Legacy era

All are good for customs characters but I feel like there is alot wiggle room in the Old Republic and Legacy era.

Really, really old Republic, thousands of years before any current content. Or way beyond the Skywalkers and Palpatines, bloody menace that lot.

I'd also like to see Wild Space, more unknown regions, places we haven't seen.

I would have mine take place in The Clone Wars era
