Well, Vader kind of has to know about Obi Wan in some way for them to 'fight', unless he thinks he's just some random Jedi. I don't except them to straight out lie about that
^Even so by the time of ANH and even Rebels, the empire and the galaxy at large believes Obi Wan is dead so they’re going to have to be very convincing in terms of how Obi Wan is going to fake his death.
^^ I'm hoping Vader vs Obi-Wan is a vision, maybe the thing that lets him know Anakin survived, Or he could learn this at a cantina like in the novel and then have the vision later. Anyway I have really high expectations for this show so please no more retcons. Just because Filoni is the "SW king" now doesn't mean he should retcon everyone else's work.
And also, no Mando, Grogu, or Ahsoka (Ahsoka might be fine but it has to be a SHORT cameo thing).
^Dave actually isn’t writing this show so for once the retcon wouldn’t be his fault 😂 but yeah I very much prefer their battle to be a force vision or some kind of nightmare ptsd scene.
^ Oh yeah, lol. I can rephrase that, maybe like this: "Just because you're writing possibly one of the best SW shows yet doesn't mean you should retcon the movie that started the whole franchise." 😂
Obi-Wan fighting Vader doesn’t actually retcon anything. Nothing in ANH says that they never met between then. Actually, I think it implies that they had met since Revenge of the Sith. In ANH, Vader and Tarkin seem absolutely confident that Obi-Wan is dead. What possibly from their previous encounter would have lead Vader to think that he was dead? Obi-Wan won that duel. Nothing that happened on Mustafar would have lead Vader to think he was dead. To me, that actually directly implies that they must’ve met again since Mustafar. Nothing says that they didn’t, there won’t be any contradictions by them meeting again.
No
Probably not.
I don't think Obi-Wan will have something like that
No, only cause that's more of a skywalker thing
Kenobi got his own hallway scene
What do you think?
