I would say yes. It's shown nicely in ANH, for example, when he's desperate to help Luke, Leia, Han, and Chewie when they're trapped in the trash compactor and he then blames himself when he thinks he (and Artoo) failed at rescuing them. He prioritizes his friends' wellbeing over his own in that moment.
He even gives up his highly esteemed politeness when his friends are in danger, lol. That's shown in ROTJ: although he considers pretending to be a deity as rude, he does it nonetheless to save his friends from being eaten. So, at least when it comes to his friends, does he show a moral compass, in my opinion
