While I don’t like TLJ myself, there is nothing particularly wrong with that scene (aside from the bombers themselves but that has been discussed ad nauseam) one could assume that there is a shield where the bombs would be dropped.

It would be akin to the Hanger bay shields found on any of the Republic’s Venators or the Empire’s Star Destroyers.

Don't worry, her hand wouldn't freeze. It would just explode due to the lack of pressure. She would die shortly afterwards from artery constriction.

I think they might have technically been in the outer edges of the atmosphere still, but yeah that scene was weird

The bombers probably have artificial atmospheres, which are contained inside the bomber with shields. And on some spacecraft (like the Raddus), the shields actually project a fair distance away from the actually body of the craft, so you could probably stand on the outside surface of many ships and still be able to breathe. This explains why she could stick her hand outside the craft; her hand was probably within the shield the whole time
