Hi and welcome back to another Rebels discussion, for S2E17, “The Honorable Ones”. This is a key episode, and one of my personal favorites.
Plot summary:
In this episode, the Ghost crew is checking out an imperial construction site over Geonosis. Before they can find out much about it, they are ambushed by the empire. All of the crew manages to escape, except for Zeb, who gets stuck fighting with Kallus. Zeb gets in an escape pod, but then Kallus finds him, and gets in the Pod to fight Zeb, just as it takes off! As they continue to fight in the pod, Zeb knocks Kallus into the controls and the pod starts to malfuntion. They crash into a cold Geonosian moon, and the impact of the crash hurts Kallus's leg. By now the Ghost Crew has lost them. The two find themselves in a heap of trouble. They are trapped in a cave, have little heat, and there are creatures attacking them. Zeb finds a small heat-producing rock, and fixes a transmitter, and the two wait, until a creature attacks, when they fight it. After talking, and connecting in a way neither can quite understand, Zeb grabs Kallus and they begin their climb to the surface. After an intense struggle, they make it out. The two wait in the cold for their rescue. Finally, the Ghost arrives, and Zeb leaves, but not without a look at Kallus. Later, when Kallus is back with the Empire, he places to rock above his bunk, and ponders the events of the previous day.

Wow. Just wow. Seeing Kallus's and Zeb's friendship develop is sooooo cool.
Still wondering what that rock was, lol.
Poor Genonosians.
I need to say this again. Seeing Zeb's and Kallus's friendship develop is one of my favorite parts of Rebels.
We really needed more Zeb centric episodes. I hope we'll see these two again in the Ahsoka series.
