Luke and MJ 🆚 Revan and Bastila? Yes, please!

Luke and Mara vs Anakin and Obi Wan would be so much fun especially if we’re talking about the family drama that could ignite the duel such as Anakin finding out that his daughter in law was the emperor’s right hand.

I personal hope that them could rematch Lord Nyax

Wow all of these would be so cool! I'll try to rank them:

1. Revan/Bastila

2. Obi-Wan/Anakin

3. Anakin/Ahsoka

4. Jacen/Tenel Ka

5. Rey/Kylo or Anakin Jr/Tahiri

Not in any order:

• LxM vs Revan & Bastila: could be interesting, especially if it's not peak abilities LxM as they'd just slaughter them otherwise.

• LxM vs Rey & Ben: even Thrawn trilogy L x M would probably win. So not really that satisfying from a fight pov, but possibly interesting in a Legends timeline finishes of training a timeline where Rey and Ben both survive

• LxM vs Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano: it would be a good early Luke and Mara vs them but at peak it would be very one sided. As Luke easily had surpassed his father later in life and Mara Jade was battling and beat an opponent at near Palpatine levels, so Ahsoka doesn't stand a chance. I suppose, if Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano time travel to the future and after a silly fight that gets resolved, it could turn into a great storyline where Luke and Mara could teach Anakin and Ahsoka how to leave the Jedi Order and build a better one, so Anakin makes a different choice at the end of the Clone Wars. Let's presume it wont be an easy just help Mace beat Palpatine, as Palpatine has contingencies for this possibility. So here they have to go into hiding with the surviving Jedi and basically rebuild the Jedi Order while helping Padme, Bail and Mon Mothma build up the Rebel Alliance. So it's Anakin, Luke and Leia vs Palpatine and his replacement apprentice (while Ahsoka and her timelines Mara helps lead the Rebel Alliance to victory) after the whole going to the future then returning, after learning from Luke and Mara that rebuilding and allowing love was an option Anakin didn't consider. Anyways, sorry for diverging there a bit, just trying to think of the best "dream" situation I could with these characters.

• LxM vs Jacen and Tenel Ka: Tenel really never got anywhere near as good as either Luke or Mara, and even Mara could beat Jacen at his peak while injured and without her lightsaber. So this at best would be a training situation or a very lame fight. Also this cant be too late in the timeline as otherwise Tenel Ka would switch sides to stop Jacen and help deprogram the darkside out of him... which could be a nice fix-it of Denningverse and LotF.

• LxM vs Anakin Skywalker and Obi-wan Kenobi: now this could be a great fight. Mind you, Luke and Mara at their peak are still far better than either (heck, peak Luke could probably take them on simultaneously) but at points earlier in their lives it'd be one hell of a fight. It would also be very interesting narratively. One of my favorite timetravel fanfics lightly covered this fight. Under the Cover of Darkness by randomlyimagine, is basically a fanfic where Luke and Mara have infiltrated an Inquisitor group under the guise of Mara being a darksider who captured, tortured and broke Luke into falling so both could find out where some captured younglings were taken by them. Obviously timetravel happened and they can't break cover so get captured (LxM and the Inquisitor) by Obi-wan, Anakin and Ahsoka bring them back to the Jedi Temple for interrogation. Anyways, it wasn't a big fight, as they purposefully throw the fight, but it always left me wanting this fight.

• LxM vs Anakin Solo and Tahiri Veila: Uh, I guess another training match... unless you go timetravel too but reverse it so Anakin Solo and Tahiri Veila go back to just after the Thrawn trilogy... but still then it's still a 17 and 15 year old both with only a year of experience vs the man who beat Vader and Palpatine's best secret agent. Still might be a nice fanfic dream fight situation as a time travel fix-it.

If I had to rank them, by the fights potential, probably:

1. Luke & Mara vs Anakin Skywalker and Obi-wan Kenobi

2. Luke & Mara vs Revan and Bastila Shan

3. (Tie) Luke & Mara vs Jacen Solo and Tenel Ka Djo/Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano

4. Luke & Mara vs Anakin Solo and Tahiri Veila

5. Luke & Mara vs Rey & Ben Solo

If I had to rank them by the story around the fights potential:

1. Luke & Mara vs Anakin Skywalker and Obi-wan Kenobi

2. Luke & Mara vs Anakin Solo and Tahiri Veila (as it would essentially be, in my mind, Anakin and Tahiri going back to the past permanently and basically trying to make the Legends timeline better as Mara would see Tahiri as a young her (girl the same age she was when Palpatine made her his hand) and Luke just wants to help his time traveling nephew.)

3. Luke & Mara vs Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano: could be fun to see a reverse time travel story where Anakin goes to the future as I listed above, as imho it's the best reason to explain the early duel as Luke wouldn't realize it's his father and Mara might make it easy to confuse them for darksiders the other way around.

4. Luke & Mara vs Revan and Bastila: I'd honestly love a good story where either group goes to the others timeline.

5. Luke & Mara vs Jacen and Tenal Ka Djo: I just struggle to place a point where thos could happen, as Jacen and Tenel are only together early or late in life, preteens or 30s. If too Young, it's a slaughter if too late it's more just a simple fix to Denningverse that should have happened anyways where Tenel eventually realizes Jacen's gone bad and flips sides.

6. Luke & Mara vs Rey and Ben: very one sided against Rey and Ben and worse little attachment between the two groups, as this Luke isn't Ben Solo's uncle. It would honestly be more interesting imho to have Ben Skywalker and Vestra Khai vs Rey and Ben Solo imho, as it would be a more fair fight (still one sided though, Ben Skywalker and Vestara are way more crafty with far more training) plus lots of potential drama.
