You understand positive reinforcement. It's good to have more "do" items than "don't" ones—and what you wrote for the latter is already covered by the rules: no off-topic comments, no repeat posts within a week of each other, and no spoilers outside of spoiler threads. You can leave those out.

Now I'll try out some constructive criticism.

I'm concerned about the "daily post" method. The forum shouldn't be a chore, and in my experience, any sort of quota leads to worse posts. Write about what you enjoy about Star Wars whenever you feel like it. @ArtooD2 wrote in this thread today about how he uses that method instead—and clearly it works for him since he was so insightful there.

There's another great method to add to the list: cross-linking posts. This is similar to something I posted a while back about distinguishing rules and guidelines as obligatory conduct versus best practices. Folks are free to make suggestions there.

Referencing other forum material is symbolic of the most important mentality of the forum: it's not just about you. The first of the two threads I linked here is especially notable because it gives no instructions. When it was written, the author was not a moderator and didn't make any push to tell the forum how to operate. Most of the post was really just a request to talk more about books.

You're not a moderator either, so it's a little off-putting to see this whole post written as if you have the authority to say what kind of track record you have or what validity your suggestions hold. You don't. There are lots of other places to discuss community conduct here, but this isn't the right way to bring the subject up.
