Vader's line wouldn't really be contradicted, since when he left Obi-Wan was in Episode 3, and if they do encounter each other before Episode 4, he wouldn't be leaving Obi-Wan again.

I'd say it'll lean more slow... or Obi-Wan will play it slow

Of course... you can't really do that against Vader, who might commit to as unrelenting an offense as he can manage

However considering it's Obi-Wan... it might work anyway

I think that scene is supposed to be a vision Obi-Wan has, but that’s just me.

They'll make it work.

In Star Wars Rebels, Vader says of Ahsoka, "Perhaps she can lead us to Kenobi" and the Emperor says "Yes, if he still lives". This means that either Vader hadn't seen Kenobi since ROTS or that the Inquisitors had killed him, which obviously wasn't true, and at least the Grand Inquisitor and Fifth Brother survived their encounter with Kenobi to tell the tale. There really is no explanation except for a retcon. And yes, I believe decanonize is a word, but it wont decanonize from a certain point of view, just retcon it

^I completely forgot about the piece of dialogue so there’s more than one retcon at risk here. I really hope they know what they’re doing with this rematch.

I think Vader is only there to guide the Inquisitors. They will interact with Obi-Wan while Vader is elsewhere

Well what he said could still be true, from a certain point of view. Anakin and Vader can be thought of as two separate identities, so the last time Obi-Wan saw “Anakin” was on Mustafar and the last time he saw “Vader” was from their upcoming duel.

This is just an idea they can role with and maybe it’ll be executed better than how I put it. I don’t like the idea of the two physically reuniting before their duel in A New Hope and hope the writers have a way around it.

See that is my problem with Darth Vader being in the show

Because the line he said "we meet again at last, the circle is now complete, when I left you I was but the learner, now I am the master" I mean that sounds like he was referring to his duel with Obi-Wan on Mustafar.

So now in the Obi-Wan show their meeting makes no sense.

Unless he is referring to their duel in the show

I feel like that is a major continuity error

But oh well it will still be cool to see them duel
