It has always been Anakin vs. Obi-Wan for me

I think it makes sense that a lot of people see it as Anakin vs Obi-wan. For one, that’s the title of the first half of the music that plays during their duel. And two, a lot of people don’t really see Anakin as Vader until he’s in the suit.

I however, think that Vader vs Obi-wan is more accurate. By this point Anakin has fully committed himself to the ways of the Sith. He is consumed by the Dark Side, even sinking to the point of murdering children and choking out his wife. I honestly don’t think obi-wan or Padme had any chance of turning turning him back at that point.

I would say it’s Anakin vs Obi-wan as even Kenobi looks back on it full of remorse as the moment Anakin died. The duel on the Death Star is Vader vs Kenobi

Technically, it should be Vader vs. Obi-Wan, in my opinion, since Vader already accepted the Sith title of "Darth Vader" hours before this duel. He was already committed to the dark side at that point. As Yoda says to Obi-Wan shortly before this duel: "The boy you trained, gone he is. Consumed by Darth Vader."

But I suppose it makes somewhat sense to call this duel "Anakin vs. Obi-Wan" in order to avoid confusion (since that's really the only duel that could be called like that, unlike "Vader vs. Obi-Wan") and since Anakin's dark side "persona" is more well-known with the suit (especially since he needed the suit pretty soon after he became a Sith, anyway)
