There is a lot I could say about my video here, but I’m just going to be quiet and let you watch and if you have any questions for me, you are more than welcome to ask them in the discussion below. Hope you enjoy!

I did NOT cry when that TCW scene showed up 😭😭 I DID NOT 😢😢😢
Great edit! I found particularly the part 1:03 - 1:19 and the part with Vader and Padme very emotional and heartbreaking. And I think that part from "Nessun Dorma" actually matched that part from your edit well (at least melody-wise).
Though I found some parts (some dialogue of that game and apparently what is a CW-arc?) a bit strange. What CW-episode would that be?
^I’m glad you liked it, Seeker. The transition from Nessus Dorma is certainly not perfect, but at least I feel like it added an element I often think of when I watch RotS, which is the abruptness of Anakin’s turn. It’s weird to look back at the beginning with Anakin cracking jokes and being happy to destroying all he held dear.
If I’m understanding correctly, you want to know where that Clone Wars part is from. It’s from the “Mortis Arc” it’s the last episode: Altar of Mortis.
I totally agree with the game dialogue. In it, Obi-Wan is nothing but unremorseful, and shouts angrily at Anakin during their fight. There were a lot of inconsistencies with the game and my view on the events of RotS. I wanted to try to show that Obi-Wan was, in fact, heartbroken when he had to kill Anakin instead of just walking off like he did in the game. I wanted to bing the seriousness that he game left out, and I didn’t intend for the dialogue of the game’s scene’s to be read, since I muted the gameplay’s sound.
^The transition may not have been done perfectly but as I said in my previous comment, I think the addition of this piece of music worked well enough.
Yeah, you're right: Anakin and Obi-Wan joking together at the beginning of ROTS only to try killing each other at the end seems a bit weird. I think that's one of the points ROTS has often been critiziced for. I personally imagine this appearance of happiness was a paper thin layer over Anakin's growing inner darkness; he was happy on the surface, but underneath it, there was something sinister going on.
"If I’m understanding correctly, you want to know where that Clone Wars part is from. It’s from the “Mortis Arc” it’s the last episode: Altar of Mortis." Oh, right. Ugh. I've actually seen this arc. How did I not recognize it? Anyway, thanks for clearing that up.
I also agree on the game. I've never played it but when I read the lines I sometimes felt like they were trying to portray Obi-Wan's comments as coming from an angry, bitter person who partly dealt with their grief in a particularly cynic way (which could have still made some sense), but sometimes, those comments really felt out of place.
"I wanted to try to show that Obi-Wan was, in fact, heartbroken when he had to kill Anakin instead of just walking off like he did in the game." You did a good job at that
By the way, what program or app did you use for editing, may I ask? I've been tinkering with the idea of making a fan video about a specific character as well, but I have zero experience in editing etc. Is there anything you can recommend in this regard?
^Thanks you for all of your kind words.
I used an app called “Splice”. It looks like this:
And it’s been a great tool all things considered, however, it also has its gimmicks that drove me insane. I did all the editing through my phone, and I didn’t have a screen recorder so I used
An app called “Record it!” and got all the clips off of YouTube. It’s a tedious process, but I had a lot of fun making the video all the same. It probably took me four hours or so, believe it or not, lol.
But if you do end up making your video one way or another, I would love seeing it if you make it!
^"Thanks you for all of your kind words." Deserved! It's a great edit!
Thanks for the recommendation and the explanation! I'm going to give it a try with this app, then. I'm presumably going to use my computer rather than my phone, so that might make it easier.
"It probably took me four hours or so, believe it or not, lol." Only four hours, lol? For somebody as unhandy as me in regards to computer stuff, I'll expect it'll take me days to weeks.
"But if you do end up making your video one way or another, I would love seeing it if you make it!" Thank you! I'm planning on doing it sometime when I can spare more time for doing it, so it might still be a while until it's done, but I'm definitely planning on doing it
If you don't mind me asking again, I'd have another question to you. You mentioned that you got your clips off of YouTube. Did you have any problems with copyright? I've seen a lot of such fanvideos on YouTube so it's probably not a big deal after all but I would like to make sure
^That’s a good question, and it’s fine that you ask. All the videos I have made with John William’s music have be copyright claimed, which is a problem if you really want to monetize your work, but if you’re like me and are just doing it for people’s enjoyment and your own, then it shouldn’t be an issue. YouTube won’t take down your content if it’s copyright claimed, at least to my knowledge.
Once more I’m more than happy to help, but if you have anymore questions, I think it would be best to shoot be an email or message on Discord, since it’s a bit off topic.
^Okay, thank you once again. Doesn't look like it should be a problem, then.
I've been thinking of getting an account on Discord, so, in case of future questions, I'll make sure to send you a mail or try to contact you on Discord
^Alrighty, good luck, and I’ll look forward to your message either way!
What do you think?
