^ I think its Canon, my friend.
I remember an episode from clone wars talking about the Sith Code.
Dark side is like an addiction. Once you pick up the bottle, it will be hard to put it back down.
YES!! UNNNLLLIIIIMMMAAATTTEEDDD PPPPOOOOOWWWWWWAAAAAHHHH!!!
@Master Coleman Fisto That would depend. The dark side allows you to have the power to become immortal and reach your potential faster than the light side would. Dark siders also tend to be more powerful than light siders (e.g Sidious>Yoda, Vader>Windu, Dooku>Kenobi). You can also be betrayed and scammed when you turn to the dark side like being disposed by your master or not getting what you were promised, so it all comes down to how you use the dark side.
Still, I wouldn’t really care about power if I were a Jedi, unless I would be in a situation like Anakin’s.
Maul said to Ezra that he must break his chains. Remember on Malachor?
Sith would agree with the Jedi code on the part about knowledge.
@The Senate 50 From what I know, every single Sith who lusted for becoming immortal, died at one point anyway. So much for that.
It's probably true that the dark side allows you to become stronger and faster in battle for example, but it doesn't seem like a good long term solution. It's more like a deal with the Devil. The dark side helps you in gaining power but it also demands something from you. And the price is very high, if you ask me. It's a life full of pain, hate, and loneliness
@MaxPokemon10 "Maul said to Ezra that he must break his chains." That is rather ironic considering that Maul never managed to break away from his hate of Obi-Wan. He really was a prisoner of his own feelings. Always clinging on to hate, pain, and anger, never giving himself the chance of letting go of old wounds and seeking happiness. He's a good example that the Sith actually trap themselves in their personal darkness.
Jedi and Sith have a very different understanding of knowledge. To Jedi, understanding and learning is the way of achieving wisdom, to Sith, it's a way of gaining power
What do you think?
