7-time Emmy-winning actor Ed Asner, who portrayed Vrook Lamar in KOTOR and Jabba Desilijic Tiure in the radio dramatisation of RoTJ has passed away from Natural Causes at the age of 91. He was most famous for his role in The Mary Tyler Moore Show as Lou Grant, and as the very same character in the show's spinoff, titled Lou Grant. Aside from all of this, he portrayed Santa Claus on numerous occasions, most famously in the 2003 film Elf, and he also voiced Carl Fredericksen in the 2009 movie Up. Another achievement of his was being the President of the Screen Actors Guild from 1981 to 1985.

His death means that Betty White (born 1922) is the last surviving cast member of The Mary Tyler Moore Show.
