^^HK-47 has also had a few hints and references in Canon as well, and since Revan built him, if he comes into canon fully they'd develop Revan at least a little too.

I can't claim to be well-known myself but I would suggest the games, as many of them are Legends now! That includes both Knights of the Old Republic, both Force Unleashed games, and even the Star Wars MMORPG called Star Wars: The Old Republic! But if you're not interested in the past or near-present in relation to the movies, then I'd humbly suggest reading about Luke's New Jedi Order or the One Sith! Both were very interesting in my opinion
