Another fine episode for a truly wonderful series!
I am quite happy to see Crosshair back in action, and Tarkin's master plan gradually coming to fruition is quite intriguing. The fact that the Kaminoans are just being pushed out of the way is heartbreaking, and I cannot wait to see how it plays out, now that Admiral Rampart has assumed control over the operation; he wants to recruit more people from around the galaxy, contradicting the Kaminoans' agenda. This showdown is assuredly going to be a momentous occasion.
As for Crosshair, he is still as tragically menacing as ever. At this point, he seems to be fully committed to serving his orders, even if they're morally false. However, at the episode's conclusion, there was a hint of him contemplating his decisions. I'm unsure what this completely means at the moment but wholeheartedly intrigued!
I, to be frank, was bored with Clone Force 99's subplot. It was quite long and the pacing there was horrendous. I hope to see more of the mercenary missions that the series has promised, not making repairs on the ship.
Their subplot did give us more time with the increasingly-likable Omega. She is becoming more dedicated to Clone Force 99, risking her very young life in the episode's climax. Quite fascinating!
The rest of the Bad Batch are primarily used as plot devices, and I greatly dislike how this episode dissolves them to such bland things.
This episode's animation is still truly remarkable. Overall, it's dark and adds to the scary-ish vibe of the episode beautifully, especially when Crosshair is hunting down the rebels on Onderon.
So, this episode, unfortunately, is the worst yet to me, but I definitively haven't fully lost interest! I still cannot wait for the next episode.
