Monday Morning Coffee is the weekly news roundup for Wookieepedia’s Discussions forum. I'm your host this week, and I'll be going over literature releases and television hype, a few birthdays, as well as some excellent original pieces of writing, so let's get started!
Never thought I’d see a reversible mug (two fused end-to-end), but there’s no better concept to inspire it. It also doubles as an excuse to drink twice as much coffee!
STAR WARS NEWS
New Releases
Here are the new releases from the week. Feel free to create discussion threads for any of these, and they’ll be added to this post!
The seventh issue of IDW’s Star Wars Adventures released on Wednesday.
That same day, the eleventh issue of Marvel’s Bounty Hunters series was released, and it’s all about Bossk!
Also, just today, IGN released an article with an excerpt for Greater Good, the second book in Thrawn’s Ascendancy trilogy. @WarlordGrandAdmiralThrawn will be thrilled!
From The Feed
These are stories that came to us on our main feed in the Star Wars News category.
@IronStain98 caught wind of the week’s first huge news, on the next wave of High Republic Era books.
@Gerbil16 found an online vote for collectors to decide on a new vintage figure to be released.
Diving into the shady underworld of Star Wars news, @ArtooD2 found a rumor that the long-lost Detours series could come to Disney+. Here’s to our respective hopes and dreads!
A new short story based on The Old Republic was published on the game's website on Tuesday, much to @Legends Lover’s delight.
Finally, @IronStain98 capped off this week’s news threads with a post about the new poster for The Bad Batch, as well as an emoji of Hunter’s helmet for Twitter users.
Also, I'd like to give a shout-out to some proper forum work here by @Ajjviolin96, @Liverpool92 and @Vaderson for all knowing exactly what to do with a repeat post. Thanks for making the mods' jobs easier!
From The Newsroom
Not familiar with the Newsroom? Clearly not, because nothing was posted there this week. It’s where we organize MMC and sometimes news stories are linked there as well. Click the link above to see more.
Again, don’t hesitate to create a discussion for any of these news announcements and it will be linked here! Some news that could have been put in that thread are the television awards The Mandalorian received: an Annie Award, two Motion Picture Sound Editors Awards, a Cinema Audio Society Award, and a win among the America Society of Cinematographers.
FORUM NEWS
General Business
If you’re joining the forum for the first time, check out our welcome message for new users!
In wiki news, the Knowledge Bank forum—originally used among editors to answer people’s Star Wars questions—has closed for inactivity. Seeing that most of those questions now come to this forum, @Jade Moonstroller and I worked to create a new permanent thread for all answerable Star Wars questions: Ask A Nerd A Question.
@Ajjviolin96 announced this Essay of the Week winner: @EChootah, with an excellent economic analysis of the San Tekka Clan’s exploits during the High Republic Era.
@Givinname announced the Meme of the Week—or two weeks, in this case—a classic high ground meme from @Legends Lover and another by @Master Coleman Fisto about all the forgotten sacrifices made by our beloved television characters.

Next week’s edition will be written by @ArtooD2. I found some awesome droid-themed mugs while searching for this post’s photo, so hopefully one of those will show up.
