Earlier today it was pointed out that some scenes from The Bad Batch line up with some familiar locations throughout The Clone Wars.
Aside from those, however, there is a scene that the person overlooked. In the opening montage of "Old Friends Not Forgotten" there is a scene of battle droids and clone troopers on a forest world in the midst of a battle.
The setting of that battle is the same as this shot in the sizzle. Note the identical rocks, snow, and trees.
This is the first shot before the montage of Jedi in the Outer Rim Sieges, so it's safe to assume that this battle continues on through Order 66. The Bad Batch will undoubtedly cover this battle as the starting point of the series. It sure looks like a mounting defeat for the Republic at the moment, which is a perfect opportunity to transition to a scene of the Bad Batch appearing and saving the day, thus introducing them (and the era immediately after with Order 66) to first-time viewers. Notably no Jedi is present.
Anyone know what this planet could be? It's likely completely new.
