I am currently doing a crazy marathon of every Star Wars comic in chronological order and have just finished the Old Republic mini series.

I honestly don’t know what people think of it, but I though it was pretty good.

The characters were enjoyable and I especially liked the character of Ngani Zho who reminded me a bit of Joruus C’baoth from the Thrawn trilogy. The story was decent, nothing special, but I liked it.

I knew very little about the Old Republic era (even though I did play a reasonable portion of the game) so a lot of it was new to me.

I read the Obi-Wan and Anakin comic a while ago.

This was a reread, and I enjoyed it much more this time.

My favorite part is the flashback story with Anakin's training. The writing deals with his past as a slave really well, and I like the trait that he'd be offended at even hearing the word. It makes for a great contrast when other Padawans throw the word around casually, while Palpatine makes it known that he avoids saying it.

I completely missed this part the first time I read the series: when Obi-Wan talks to Yoda about Anakin wanting to leave the Jedi Order, he proclaims that if Anakin left the Order, so would he, and I find that to be such an admirable part of Obi-Wan's character to stand so closely with Anakin.
