Let's begin with Jar Jar Binks. A character who many didn't like. One that I never personally minded and actually enjoyed upon first seeing him. He gave me laughs and helped lighten serious moments of his first film.

For those that despise this character, allow me to invite you to look at him another way. This is a character that brought joy to many. I've seen him inspire Sith theories about him that have given an extra bit of humor and conversation to the Star Wars community.

You can find the positives in a character you dislike, even if you may not think so at first. There are many different opinions about various thing in the franchise and you don't have to agree with them all.

I see a lot of posts about not liking certain story choices, but I invite you to look at the good in them. Even if you find a film to be flawed, you can look at them from another perspective. For another person, a moment that you dislike could be inspiring to them, to be creative, to be more engaged and interested in the process of creating a story.

Each story in the Star Wars universe and each character have caused many different reactions in the people who have experienced them. Trying to find the beauty in the fact that other lives have been bettered by things that you may not like could be a way of learning to accept them.

Imagine the smiles and the impact that certain story beats could cause. Heck, even the negativity expressed by many fans has inspired me to write this piece to try to help them cope with their dissatisfaction in a franchise that they clearly have passion for.

Stepping back and looking for the uplifting themes, the inspiring moments, the enjoyable scores, the intriguing characters, or just the thought of the fact that other fans are gaining something from perceptible flaws could be enough to change your mind about things.

I, personally, was upset when LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga was delayed from 2020 to spring of 2021, but on the positive side of that, the game has had more time to be crafted and added to to make it a wonderful game.

There are many ways of looking at things in this franchise. From the production side of things, to moments and characters in the Star Wars universe itself. I invite you to try to have an open mind and look at it from a different perspective when you get a negative opinion.

It's a fictional universe created by people who have a love for it. I'm sure that when they were creating these stories, their intention was not to have a character, or story poorly received. They intended to entertain and to please their audience.
