Welcome to the third episode, or part, of A History of Canon Lightsabers. Here, I will list a lightsaber and include a brief history, as well as my thoughts about it. I had previously listed four and then three, but I'm likely going to try something different with this series until it finds its rhythm.
This time, I want to make a more detailed overview of one lightsaber. That way, I can provide a better look at the history and events that featured a particular lightsaber.
Obi-Wan Kenobi's third lightsaber
Most of you know this one. From "Hello there." to the final showdown with Darth Vader, Obi-Wan Kenobi created this lightsaber in 22 BBY. A blue single-blade lightsaber with an alloy metal, Obi-Wan carried this lightsaber with him through the Clone Wars until his death in 0 BBY.
This lightsaber was first seen in 1977 with the release of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. Obi-Wan carried it from Tatooine to the first DS-1 Death Star Mobile Battle Station. I am unsure what happened to it after his death at the hands of Vader, but I'm hopeful that we'll know more soon enough.
This lightsaber was later featured in Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars film and Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, as well as in multiple books, comics books, television series and video games.
Kenobi held this lightsaber in his first duel with Darth Vader, formerly Anakin Skywalker, as well as against Grievous multiple times and seeing to the return and later the end of Maul with it. It even inspired Luke Skywalker's green lightsaber, but we'll save the history of that one for another episode.
This lightsaber was carried by Obi-Wan through so many events that I only listed a number of notable ones, as it was quite difficult to gather them all. Through many struggles and triumphs, Kenobi used this lightsaber well and left a lasting impression upon future generations of Jedi.

Thoughts
As with the other lightsabers wielded by Obi-Wan Kenobi, this one is also one that I quite like. With a unique appearance and being one of the first that fans ever saw in the Star Wars franchise, it has stuck in the minds of many fans throughout the years.
It was a sad moment seeing Kenobi fall, made even sadder by his appearances in the prequel films and other media that he has since appeared in, furthering the role of him in the overall story of Star Wars and making him a lasting and memorable character with a memorable lightsaber.
I feel like we haven't seen the end of it, with Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi coming in 2022, I'd be very surprised if we don't see Obi-Wan using it at least once more in that series.
