Continuing with my thoughts of the amazing essay you have provided.

•Ahsoka and Maul were not part of the sith/Jedi, merely force users.

That was a very interesting POV that I’m glad you brought up! They both really escaped the world they grew up in, which is never a bad thing, however I could tell Ahsoka was slightly tempted by Maul to join, and imagine what that duo would look like. Wow!!

•Ahsoka didn’t know about where Yoda went and she didn’t even know about the twins!

That blew my mind!! Like it seemed so obvious now that she had no connections with them. However I do believe that at the time of Jedi master Yodas’ passing, I feel like Ahsoka would feel the tremor in the force and realize that he has passed(similar how Leah sensed Luke died). And in the same way, I hope that Ahsoka would feel the connection to another Jedi(Luke).

I don’t know where you found the artwork but it was very colorful and beautiful!!

The continuation is research for myself, or for those who can help me understand more. From what I remember you said that Ahsoka talked to her pass self, I don’t remember when she did that, however if she did it when Ezra saved her and talked to her younger self, it may have made her decision to leave the counsel easier.

Indeed, I meant that when Ahsoka was in Mortis and she saw her adult version, I interpret that could be her after the duel with Vader, and so she was in some kind of Netherworld or whatever, and because Mortis is a Force nexus, seeing her past self there, she took the opportunity to warn “herself” about Anakin and what kind of future and path she would take if she remains with him. Anyway, in the essay that’s better explained. If you have any doubt, just come back there and read that topic again. But remember, it’s just a theory.

Yes, the author of the Ahsoka’s novel makes us understand that Organa, at least until that time, decided to keep the existence of the twins and Kenobi and Yoda in secrecy, so we really don’t know if she finally figured that out later. But I like your point of view of her sensing them passing through the Force. It’s a very beautiful symbolism, and I wonder if Filoni would adopt that idea in the future. Or even, if their Force Ghosts manifested themselves to her. Anakin could have done the same and so she finds out that he was redeemed and returned to the light. They could be even training her on how to become one, I don’t know.

My dear friend and sister, you were right! Another fine addition to my collection!

With this latest essay, you've shed some real light on the more unexplored parts of the character while producing some really compelling real-life arguments at the same time.

After reading the first paragraph, I asked myself what it is that defines my identity as a person? Personally, I think you've made a really good summary of the three main factors. When I look at myself as a person and at what defines me as a human being, three words come to mind: family, God and passion. It concurs with your three points: i) genes- family. I am part of an incredible family with two wonderful parents and one wonderful dog and they are infinitely precious to me to the extent where I would give up my life for them, ii) environment- God. I was raised as Christian and I grew up in a Christian household. God has always been the cornerstone of my life and the cornerstone of our household. I can honestly say that I would not be the person I am today if I had not had God in my life growing up, iii) society- passion. Anyone who knows me knows that I have a great passion for writing, reading and watching movies. The passion I have for these interests does come the society I've grown up in but it also comes from the family that raised me and the Creator that made me- in the end, all three factors came together to form me as a person, just as you've explained. Below are some of my thoughts on just some of the other points you made that caught my eye.

I really liked your analysis of the Clone Wars and its impact on Ahsoka. William Tecumseh Sherman famously said that "war is hell". Even if you make it out alive, you're usually left with scars that will stay with you for the rest of your life. I highly recommend the HBO series Band of Brothers. Before each episode starts, you get clips of the actual veterans remembering their experiences of WWII. Even today, they still tear-up when remembering or even talking about what they went through.

Even though I personally found the Martez arc rather dull and uninspiring, I disagree about it not influencing Ahsoka's personality and character. No offence, but I think it influenced her a great deal. I think it was during the events of The Phantom Apprentice when she said to Anakin that she was helping them to defeat Maul because she had recently been shown how the Jedi could improve the lives of the people around them. She still didn't want to come back but her encounter with the Martez sisters did help to change her perception of the Jedi and in turn her character.

It's been a while since I've seen the Mortis arc but I agree with you that the events being shown did indeed take place in real time. The only point I have trouble with is the concept of Ahsoka leaving the Jedi Order because she'd seen what Anakin would become through the Force. I just think it would raise too many unanswered questions but agree that the apparition was a "future self" warning Ahsoka to leave the Order to become her own person.

About her being overrated, I personally think that she deserves every bit of praise she's received from fans. Watching her develop and grow and mature as a character was magical. I just pretend that her Rebels arc never happened 😁I was just so disappointed. All the fire and spark that made her such a great character was gone. She became just another generic teacher figure, falling in alongside the "Teen Titans" in their bland quest to reach Malachor and unlock the holocron. I agree that resurrecting her was a mistake but I also think that involving her in Rebels at all was a mistake; my "head canon" has since given her a different post-Order 66 story 😄

Something that really intrigued me was your analysis of the concept of being/not being identified as part of a doctrine by one's actions. I think a good SW example is Pong Krell; he was a Jedi in name and rank but acted like a Sith, racially discriminating his clones and deliberately leading them to their deaths. Intentionally or unintentionally, I believe you've touched on a complex that affects many unbelieving people considering the Christian way of life and the afterlife today- "if I'm a good person and treat everyone with kindness and love, does that make me a Christian and will that automatically get me into heaven?" The truth of it is that you can only get into heaven by knowing and accepting Jesus, but if you are a kind and loving person, you're virtually half way there. One of my best friends is an unbeliever but he's treated me with more kindness and respect than many believers I've met. I think you just have to marry the two. In Ahsoka's case, she's become disillusioned from the Jedi Order. However, the interesting thing is that she's actually more of a Jedi than people like Mace Windu or Ki-Adi-Mundi. Like my friend, s/he's a Jedi/Christian in everything but name. Unlike the rest of the Order, Ahsoka never loses sight of the fact that the Jedi are supposed to be the guardians and protectors of the people, not warriors. She's rejected by the likes of Windu and Mundi because of this but she is actually a truer Jedi because of this than they ever were or are. On the final issue of choosing that label, I think both sides are right: a trans person can choose to identify as a man or woman; they are right in that they have the option to do that. However, society is also right when it says that that person is a male/female because of their biological makeup. I think a good SW example of this is Rey: she had the option to call herself a Skywalker and it fit her to be Skywalker but, biologically, she was still a Palpatine.

^^Very good point of how sometimes the most Christian/Jedi-like people are the ones that haven’t declared themselves as such.

I also think that it’s interesting that the quote: “Innocence is the first casualty of war” doesn’t apply to Ahsoka. Because it seems that the Jedi Order especially fell victim to this quote. This is especially evident in the book Dark Disciple when they plan on an assassination of Dooku himself. Maybe that’s why Ahsoka didn’t fall to this: she refused to fall alongside the Order

First and foremost, I'd like to thank you for your comment. I just would like to add that, besides I have a little envy for you have born in a christian familiy, lol, God is always tranforming us into better children, through the Holy Spirit who convice us of truth and judgment. So He is one of the main factors that mold our persona constantly through our life until our death. Therefore, you're perfectly right on positioning in the enviromment cayegory, and I agree with you.

Indeed, I have watched "Band of Brothers" years ago, excellent program! And there was a misunderstanding about the Mertez's sisters arc I'd like to clarify: I said they did't influenced her during her time as Padawan, because obviously she didn't know them, but yes, of course, her meeting with them also was important to make her realize about another point of view regarding the Jedi and the war, a point of view that if she still remaining in the order, she hardly would get it, and which I see as a fine final touch to the construction of her final character before the Siege of Mandalore arc (although I would prefer she meeting Lux again, but whatever, lol).

The Mortis' arc is probably one of the most complex and complicated ones of TCW, and possibly of the entire franchise. Until something officially is released explaining the big idea of all that, (that I doubt it) I'll remain with my theory about Ahsoka on that, and improving it with the time. And...oh my God...your hate for Rebels only surprises me more! LOL! To get to the point on not even considering her appearence, that's crazy man! But it's ok, I respect that, and I kind of agree too because sometimes I feel like Vader's Thrawn's and Maul's appearences were only to boost the hype of the viewers. But in the case of Vader, I believe it was on purpose to close Ahsoka's narrative arc, finally finding out the truth and facing her former master, giving a beautiful and meaningful demise...and then all that is screwed up with Filoni using a "Deus Ex Machina" solution to resurrect her, lol! That's why I really hope that, from now on, he might work on justifying her existance and then lately giving her a decent ending (and the last episode of "The Mandalorian" was a good first step in my opinion).

I liked your interpretation of the "indentity and behavior realated to an institution" thing. And yes, I pointed out on purpose. The two cases are perfectly possible: you being part of an institution but not behaving like the ideals of it, and vice-versa. I liked the examples you put, and I'll add the example of Revan. After all that happened to him, though he was accepted back to the order, he was already, let's not say "above", but beyond their dogmas. That's why he became a unique character, and the same can be applied to Ahsoka. Although in the novel is shown how she struggles a bit to "find herself" with a new identity and new purpose in her life, and Organa helps her on that. She sometimes remembers me Qui Gon, and I believe that, if she had remained in the order and accepted the offer of knighthood, she probably would become more or less like him, idk. But then I wonder if she would have survived to order 66. And I totally agree with you in your example of Rey, because I see her more or less the same way, lol.

I couldn't have put that point about the Holy Spirit better myself. I see what you mean about the Martez sisters. I too would've loved to have seen her have a final meeting with Mr. Bonteri; those two have "unfinished history" together 😆And yeah, Rebels to me is what Jar Jar Binks is to the entire community.
