I believe the Sith'ari prophecy is incomplete.

Instead of just saying that the Sith'ari will destroy the Sith and raise them from the dead even stronger, it should say the Sith'ari will destroy the Sith and Jedi and raise them both from the dead even stronger. Why? Well, Sidous and Bane, considered to be Sith'ari, had as big an effect on the Jedi as the Sith. Bane killed a 100 Jedi in the Seventh Battle of Ruusan, and he changed the mindset of the Jedi to being more peacekeepers. And well, Sidious destroyed the Jedi entirely and then they were raised stronger by Luke.

Sith'ari/Legends

First, the Sith'ari prophecy was created after the death of Adas, before the Sith were discovered by the Jedi. So it doesn't need to include Jedi in the prophecy.

The only known Sith'ari are Adas and Bane, and Sidious is not a Sith'ari. Sidious didn't destroy the Sith and make them stronger. He just made himself stronger.

Vitiate is more likely to be the Sith’ari than Sidious. (Because to the rest of the Galaxy he was free of limits, destroyed his rivals desperate enough to fuel his rituals killing the Sith of that era, and rebuilding it.

Though Bane would be my first choice.)

Plus the prophecy we know was written by Sorzus Syn way after it was originally created. So there could be some minor translation differences. (though I doubt that because of a talisman Sorzus wore... It allowed her to understand any language the user was encountering)

^^Vitiate is also a candidate for the title, but there is one big reason why he is not: he didn't destroy the Sith. He just killed all who came on Nathema with him. There were others like Naga Sadow that were still alive. And Sadow's teachings would lead to Freedon Nadd, Ulic, Exar Kun and so on. So the Sith weren't destroyed after the Nathema ritual. They were just split.

And I don't think "The Sith'ari will be free of limits" referes to power. I think it's about rebuilding the Sith Order according to his own desires.

^ Well, about him knowing no limits, it is your interpretation then. Which is a very good one. However, I could also interpret that who gave the angular stone of the Rule of Two was Revan and Bane just put it in practice. Btw, I also stated that he is the Sith’ari, in legends. In canon, I don’t even know if this prophecy was stated.

^ Therefore, that let the door open to theorize with who we want. It is shame indeed that they “eliminated” this, and hope they put it again, though I think they won’t because that means explore more the Sith of old and idk how willing they are with this.
