Kashyyyk was a jungle planet of the Mid Rim. The center of the planet was covered with a ocean belt, which contained a number of islands.
Covered in gigantic Wroshyr trees, Kashyyyk was the home world of Wookies.
Cities such as Kachirho would be built into the planet's big Wroshyr trees.

The Wookiees were a tall, hairy species that were native to the planet Kashyyyk. They were quite strong, they could also grow to a height of almost three meters. Wookiees had extendable claws which they used for climbing, this claws were used when they climbed the Origin Tree.
Besides Wookies, dangerous creatures such as Wyyyschokk spiders and carnivorous plants like the Jaw plant and Saava can be found on Kashyyyk too.

It was the largest tree on the planet. The extremely rare Shyyyo bird was resident to the Origin Tree.

Wroshyr tree is a giant tree that is native to the planet Kashyyyk.
Wroshyr trees live up to 50,000 years and has over 1,000 different varieties that grows everywhere except at the planet's poles.
The planet's sentient species, the fierce Wookiees build their home in these mighty trees. The most knowned settlement is called Kachirho, where the 41st and Wookiee warriors battled Battle Droids.
In addition to providing shelter and security, Wroshyr trees are the heart of the Wookiee economy and culture.
Uninhabited trees are harvested for timber, both for domestic use and export, leaves and barks are also used for textiles, weapons, furniture and more.
Many parts of the tree, especially it's sap are used in medicines, food, beverage. Sap and leaves also can be distilled to provide fuel, oils, and chemicals.
Many of the other plants, animals and parasites also lives on Wroshyr trees.
