Utapau is a rocky planet inhabited by Pau'ans and Utai, and it's recent immigrants Amanin.

Utapau has many sinkholes because of it's massive subterranean ocean. This water contained many powerful currents created by the tidal forces of Utapau's moons caused the formation of Utapau's many sinkholes.

The lack of timber on the planet developed a unique form of architecture known as Ossic Architecture.

During the clone wars, the CIS sought the planet. Despite this, the planet remained neutral.
