I’ve been having issues with ads popping up on every single page I visit on the fandom app. I’ve been told that the people who run the site are aware of it and trying to address it but one of the mods asked me if I could take a couple screenshots and post them for reference, so here they are.

I also have experienced, infrequently, but still many times, tapping on a link for a page within the wiki and instead being taken to a completely different website that is a fully page ad, or a possible scam pop-up, once in a while it will even render me unable to go back to the main app causing me to have to close the app and re-open it again.

Also the mod that referred me to this page and asked me to post screenshots was @Jedi Sarith LeKit

@Brainiac 16 Hey there! Are you logged in on the app? Doing so should remove those ads.

@Spongebob456 I am logged in, yes. In fact, I’ve tried to fix the problem by logging in and out multiple times as well as deleting the app and then trying to re-download it. I have had this problem in the past and doing either of those things has helped, but now, for whatever reason, it’s not helping.

@Brainiac 16 All good - we do have another ongoing issue with the app too that should be fixed today/tomorrow. That may resolve this issue. Are others reporting this issue?

Wait, I figured it out: the @R e x s o k a 4 e v e r account is fine. You just triggered one of the filters we have against a few rule-breaking posts—namely one against the "other" option in polls, but it looks like the filter took that out of the word "brother" and prevented the post from being made even though it was fine.

Sooo how am I supposeto fix it??

Oh, I fixed it already. Admins let us mods set those filters, but sometimes false positives like that get through. The last one that caught someone by mistake was a spoiler filter on the names of the Ahsoka villains appearing outside of spoiler threads, but the program ripped the name "Shin" from the middle of the word "brainwashing" or something similar. That was also fixed.

Log back into your old account and reply with something simple like "test" to this thread. It should work just fine.
