I can't speak for Brandon or any of the other admins, but I'll tell you all why I believe he's the best for the position...

-attention to detail (his history as a wiki contributor/editor is proof of that)

-follows through (again, his history as a contributor/editor shows that he stays and contributes through thick and thin; as a forum member, he's showed consistency in his posts and has stuck around through all the crap that we went through as well as the slow times)

-patience (he's not quick to judge or react)

-neutral (stays on topic in threads and doesn't get caught up in other people's drama)

-non judgemental (doesn't hold grudges, nor does his personal beliefs affect how he reacts to others who have opposing beliefs)

-understands the need for the forums to function on it's own as well as how it's directly related to the wiki itself.

-knows when to be serious and when to be fun

-works well with others (from interactions with others in the forums, to his interactions with other contributors/editors, to admins and even myself... he has control of his ego [or maybe he's THAT good and he doesn't even need to control it])

-he wants the wiki and the forums to grow and succeed (arguably the most important quality)
