I may be repeating myself in this reply and maybe when I repeat myself I get what I want to say right, the second time. Like Looping!!!

Soooooo, here we go again....

I've read that most fans are not excited about the film because they think that Harrison is the only person that can and should star as Han Solo, because he "made" that character.

I read this comment from a so called fan. "The Han Solo movie is going to suck without Harrison Ford, because he knows Han Solo more than anyone."

I'd like to discuss my thoughts about that, and hopefully change some minds about the film.

Han Solo is a character George created. Harrison is an actor that followed direction extremely well and brought the character to life. George, Kersh, and Rich give direction to the actors so they are able to give the character life. Mostly and often they stick to a script unless otherwise instructed to improvise.

Larry (Kasdan) followed George's story and wrote the screenplay, he wrote the mood, the emotions and dialogue for Han Solo (He gave birth) In my opinion Larry knows Han Solo more than Harrison does, and he is writing the Screenplay for The Han Solo Anthology Film!!!

Alden Ehrenreich is a brilliant Actor and in my opinion will no doubt bring the young Han Solo character to life. I am excited to see him succeed in this role!

Congratulations to you Alden and Welcome to the StarWars Family!!!

To everyone that's disappointed in Alden being cast as Han Solo....

You are probably the same people that thought Heath Ledger would make a horrible Joker or

Ewan McGregor a terrible Obi-Wan. They didn't disappoint! Give Alden a chance.

It's waaaaay too early to judge this guy!

Kasdan had nothing to do with ANH and Leigh Brackett wrote the bulk of the Empire script; Kasdan was only brought in because Brackett died before the script was completed. That being said I think he's a capable writer, and I was definitely one of those people that thought Ewan wouldn't be a good Obi-Wan.

If you are one of the ones who only accept Ford as Solo, that's fine. Surely there are some who ONLY accept Sir Alec Guiness as the real Kenobi.

But when we look at Ewan, nobody is running around saying "he makes for a poor Alec Guiness!"

In the same way, it is unrealistic for anyone to assume the younger Solo actor will be a new form of Harrison Ford. He won't be. He will merely be a younger form of Solo. Just like Ewan attempting to be Kenobi (not trying to be Alec Guiness), he will "feel familiar" yet be different.

I accept Ford as Solo. He is the true and only Han.

But Han will come as other actors as time passes by and actors get old.

The everlasting Star Wars universe takes time and that is not on the actors side.

So I believe Ford is the true Solo with his cocky voice, brave personality, and sheer arrogance but time passes by.

So we just have align with time and accept Alden as Han now.

I apologize for being unclear as to whom wrote what as far as screenplays and did not mean for you to think I meant Larry had anything to do with George's story ( The First Star Wars ) or A New Hope.

I said Larry followed it. Like a guide to further the growth of the Han Solo character.

Leigh (GOD bless your soul) wrote most of Hoth (Wompa and the battle), and Dagobah scenes with Yoda and Luke.

Larry wrote the scenes with Han, Leia, Chewie, & C-3PO.

That's right, the Han Solo parts!

I'm guessing that he did a more than capable job on his tiny part of the Empire Strikes Back screenplay, because he was asked to work on Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens.

.....but now we've ventured off of our Alden as Han discussion and into a who wrote what discussion.

All I was saying is that it's a good thing that Alden will have a script to follow that's written by somebody that knows Han Solo well.

People need to realize that Han Solo is just a character. Recasting a character is nothing new. For example,this is not new for us James Bond fans because we have had 6 actors play the role of James Bond 007 ;Sean Connery(6 films), George Lazenby(1 film), Roger Moore ( 7 film), Timothy Dalton(2 films), Pierce Brosnan (5 films), and finally Daniel Craig(4 films possibly 5 films). I remember that people where not happy even mad when Craig was cast as 007 in 2005, however after Casino Royale, people changed their minds and accept him as 007. I have seen the same thing about this news of casting of Han Solo

Coming back to my point, people should hold off their judgments until after the movie comes out, because he might turn out to be a great Han Solo.

Any man who can play Hobby Doyle has my vote.

As long as he cuts that tragic hair... Im cool wit it...

We may have to take into consideration that we might get a whole new story. Like it or not, it seems that the Films are not based off those great and wonderful StarWars story books.

I know, what a drag.... But that just means there are a great many new and surprising stories to see!!!

If the Films are canon, then what do we know about Han Solo...

1. He's got a hetero-life mate.

Chewbacca.

2. He owns the ship that made the Kessel Run in 12 par cepts

2. He won the Millennium Falcon fair & square, from Lando Calrissian.

3. He also did something to Lando a long time ago. Chewie reminds Han about it in Empire Strikes Back. "Well that was a long time ago, I'm sure he's forgotten about that."

Then when Lando greets him he says. "Why you slimy no good double crosser, you got a lot of guts coming back here. After what you pulled."

4. He smuggled space cocaine for Jabba the Hutt and he was probably one of Jabba's best, because after he dropped Jabba's shipment due to a traffic stop or a routine boarding by the Empire. Jabba gave him one more chance evzen after he killed Greedo!

5. We know he's out run imperial starships

It's probably a sure bet that we might possibly maybe get to see one or two of these events along with its very own stand alone story

Maybe we aren't being for children, but we might be making others feel uncomfortable.
