Daba has found lots of legends to canon links that would suggest a strong connection to the Rakata as discussed throughout this thread.

Alright, I wanna throw some tinder on this fire:
starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Attendants and the oculus viewing scope on the starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Supremacy. From what little we have, these guys are the reason the First Order can navigate the Unknown Regions.
Their brains are big enough to calculate the hyperjumps for the Order, which speaks volumes of their intelligence.
At the very least, the Attendants and their large craniums share a visual similarity with the Rakatans' own large skulls.
I would venture a guess they may be a subspecies, or mutant species of Rakata, but only a guess.
The oculus viewing scope screams starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Star_Map 2.0 to me.
That only the Attendants can interpret and use it speaks volumes of their capacity to handle such powerful technology.
The mystery thickens.
CLG, what makes you think Twilight Company hints at a return of the starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Sith_(species)?

Off the top of my head, I can't remember the character's name, but he is described visually to be very similar to how the Sith species appeared in Legends.
However, I'm still not convinced that the name will be carried over to canon if the speculation is correct. I seriously doubt that they would be called the Sith species in canon.
Try reading the threads linked above. I seem to recall that it's discussed far more in depth. I'm also pretty sure there are other threads to be found in the FACT-BASED ANALYSIS category.
We do want to keep this thread fairly focused, so at this point in time, I don't think anything that relates to the Sith species is really worth discussing in this thread.

Are you referring to starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Fektrin?
It's possible, but there are plenty of species with tendrils coming from their heads, even faces. I wouldn't read into it too much...

Yes, that's him. And as stated, the 'possibility' of the return of the species. Never stated that it was a definite reality. Now please, let's leave those conversations for other threads. It's off topic for this thread.

Hman, what you bring up is something that's been in my mind a lot. With all the various threads that we've had about starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Hyperspace and some kind of Star Wars version of an 'Astral Plane' of existance, and extra-dimension...
Seems to me that we have so many clues that tie together back to Snoke.

Mental note... need to investigate this further...
starwars.wikia.com/wiki/The_Written_Word
... and see if I can draw any conclusions or hints with the NEW alphabet that was introduced (and requested by Rian Johnson to be made for the movie) in TLJ.
If that writting ends up being Corelian... this is extremely interesting to me because of something rather obscure in Legends...
The starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Pre-Corellian_alphabet used symbols from the starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Rakatan_writing_system
